The Hungry Moose

This is the story of The Hungry Moose.
It all started with breakfast at the Moose Lodge. We usually go to Sunday breakfast at the Moose and one of their breakfasts is called "the hungry moose" and Sydney and Gigi get it for their breakfast every time. Well someone at Jeff's work gave him this stuffed animal moose head that he actually thought I would let him hang in our trailer (yah right! so needless to say it sits on his dresser in his closet) when Gigi saw it for the first time she said "Who's hungry moose is that?" she thinks that a moose is called "Hungry Moose" because of the breakfast called that. So one morning I was doing my makeup and Jeff was getting out of the shower. Gigi loves to hide and have him find her so she runs past me and into his closet and yells "daddy come and find me" So when he goes to his closet to "find" her this is what he finds. I guess she thought he wouldn't notice the hungry moose grew a body. She thought it was a good spot! We laughed so hard it was the funniest thing to see her just standing in the closet with a moose head!

Snowboarding

We went to Tahoe for the weekend and Shelby, Syd and Michael took snowboarding lessons. They had a lot of fun but were very tired by the end of the day. Jeff, Gigi and I all waited in the lodge for their lesson to be over, drinking hot chocolate. As the day went on Gigi started asking if she could do lessons so this weekend we are going back up to Tahoe and she is going to take ski lessons. I did however consider snowboarding but while watching the kids on the bunny slope I saw 2 adults fall and then have to get hauled away on a snowmobile one with a broken arm the other a broken leg! That pretty much ended any desire I had to snowboard that day.....maybe next time!

New Years

For New Years we went to the house in Pebble Beach. While there we went to the aquarium where the kids just love to go. Gigi fell in love with this stuffed penguin she saw in the gift shop, the penguins were her favorite thing to see at the aquarium. We had a fun start to the New Year and hope this year brings as much fun for us!

Daddy and Gianna

Christmas

We had Christmas in Tahoe like always but next year I hope to change that! The kids didn't wake up until 8:00 and then we had to wake them up! Jeff and I were up at 7:00 just waiting for them to wake up. After that they were excited to see what Santa had left them. I do think though that this is the last year for Shelby in believing in "Santa" and that makes me sad, because I know she wont be able to keep that secret from Sydney it would just kill her that kid has loose lips! So here are a lot of pictures I took on Christmas of the kids.

Putting cookies out for Santa

Christmas Eve night putting the stockings out for Santa. Michael looks less than thrilled because I had to break him away from Guitar hero!

Santa came!!

Gianna wanted this bike so bad. She saw it at walmart and fell in love with it. I tried to talk her into a pretty pink barbie one but no it had to be this one which I call the "ghetto fabulous" bike!

Santa brought Shelby a camera and Michael & Sydney guitars
Time for Stockings

American Girl Dolls YAY!!!

Shelby saw this suitcase on QVC and wanted it so bad! She was jumping up & down when she opened it saying over & over again "My bag from QVC" Strange child!

Shelby & Syd opening their electric scooters

Gigi and Biscuit. The closest thing to a real dog we will ever have if I have my way!

Again the closest thing to a real dog. My kids all want a dog but I am a no on that subject so I buy them fake ones that wont pee in my house!

~Christmas Eve~

On Christmas Eve the girls sprinkled the reindeer food from the top of the street and down to grandmas and papas driveway

Our Christmas with Jack and Ben

Every year the week before Christmas we get together with Sacha, Patrick, Jack and Ben and the kids make reindeer food and we set up a hot chocolate bar. This year we tried dipped spoons where we dipped plastic spoons in chocolate and then the kids got to choose to roll them in sprinkles, choco chips or andes mints (my favorite) They had fun and the hot chocolate was yummy but it was a huge mess! After that we exchanged gifts & took pictures around the tree.

Christmas Week at school in Clarksburg

The night of the Christmas program at school

For the Christmas program Sydney with her class sang the 12 Days of Christmas and she was the 10th day. Shelby's class did a salsa dance (and yes she had to dance with a boy which she was so embarrassed when she told me, she thought she was going to die!)The program was really cute and to her surprise she did not die of embarrassment!

The Clarksburg Christmas parade was fun and the fire station afterwards had hot chocolate and brownies for everyone and a special visitor....Santa! Whom Gigi this year was not afraid of as long as she had her sisters near!

Dress like Santa Day! We opted for Mrs. Claus

Fake Injury Day. Don't they look pitiful? Jeff was in charge of this theme day!

At the girls school the last week before Christmas vacation they had theme week. Where everyday was a different theme. There was pajama day, fake injury day, Santa look a like day, mismatch day and Christmas colors day. They had a lot of fun with it and we are loving all the fun things that the new school offers and the fact that they can actually celebrate within the school "Christmas"!
